DSS SUPPORTS EDUCATION FOR THE FUTURE

 

Dave Shannon Smith, Principal at dss has dedicated more than 10 years working with the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services as Lecturer, Treasurer, 1st Vice President, and member of the Education Committee.  His most recent effort of investing in the community has been by way of lecturing in the BIFS' Grade 12 Financial Services Certificate Programme, covering the subject area of Business Ethics and Management. 

 

The G-12 programme is a partnership between the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services (BIFS), the financial services sector, The Ministry of Education and The Ministry of Finance.  The programme seeks to better prepare 12th graders with entry-level skills who desire a career in financial services.

 

Dave was recognized by  the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services (BIFS) 15-September-2012  during the Annual Awards Ceremony for outstanding service to BIFS.  He reflected that it was "an immense joy being able to give back and positively impact the next generation of professionals".
